Introduction: The present study aimed to obtain foundational data on using HD-tDCS to modulate
language processing in healthy speakers, as a prelude to clinical studies in speakers
with neurogenic language impairments, where the method has potential for augmenting
behavioral language therapy. Based on neuroimaging studies, we hypothesized that stimulation
of Broca's area would affect retrieval of both nouns and verbs, whereas the effect
of stimulation of left angular gyrus would be specific to verbs.
